Kuwait now go into their final Group A match on Sunday needing just a draw against India to book their place in the AFC U-16 Championship finals in Thailand next year. Kuwait FA President Sheikh Dr. Talal Al Sabah granted KD 250 to each player after this victory praising the great efforts of the players and asked them to defeat India on Sunday. India enjoyed an emphatic 8-1 win over Bhutan on Friday as the side from the Himalayan kingdom crashed to their fourth successive defeat in Group A of the AFC U-16 Championship qualifiers. Prosenjit led the scoring with a hat-trick, the first of which coming in the 13th minute after Jayananda Moirangthem had put India 1-0 up with just five minutes at the Ali Sabah Al Salem Stadium played. Jerry Lalrinzuala made it 3-0 in the 19th minute before Bedashwor netted India fifth in the 32nd minute, just 60 seconds after Chakraborty had scored the second of his treble. Yoesel Dorji reduced the deficit with four minutes of the first-half left to play but Bhutan still had the proverbial mountain to climb and their task was made even harder when India restored the five-goal cushion, with Chakraborty completing his hat-trick three minutes after the interval. Substitute Edmund Lalrindika, who came on in the 66th minute to replace fellow striker Nijwm Muchahry, made it 7-1 in the 73rd minute before defender Nuruddin completed the scoring three minutes later. India will meet Kuwait on Sunday needing a victory over the Group A hosts to finish top of the table and ensure their place in the AFC U-16 Championship finals in Thailand next year.

One thing what i love is where ever India plays...there are always huge fans supporting our team. Remember Asia cup 2011. Huge Indian fans present ...last night flet so sad for those emphatic fans. (

now that our AFC U16 qualification is over , have the below observations.

1) compared to the Top GCC U16 Teams, we still have to learn the tricks of provoking the GK, falling down and rolling upon contact in the D or on a one on one collision...this has to be incorporated in especally while playing GCC teams.

2) Try and groom Taller players keeping in mind the Hulk hogans we faced Vs Kuwait.. our No 19 was more than a match for Kuwait. however i also appreciate the AIFF initiative of U16 playing with local clubs U18 and U20 teams, this helped us not to get overawed playing Kuwait

3) The rules during international Game have to be made very clear, fouls that are overlooked in India will nt work at the international level..the GK infringment which led to dh penalty was surely avoidable.. if the goal was just 1-0 we have a game that we could have won
