I do feel that ISL has created such a buzz that Teams actually require very little ground level promotions..As @7negi said abt Delhi being unpro, yet they sold out..NEUFC did very little promotions in Guwahati yet they managed a full house & about 5K who didn't get tickets..ATK did good promotions but it was nothing compared to what KKR did in 1st season of IPL..And still what a crowd we had yesterday!

I have seen both matches live & also seen the games on TV ( full 90mins) , so i'm currently in a slightly advantages position to rant ..
I think one of the reasons why some feel the passing is better is that at times IT IS , when 6 outfield players are foreign , and they string a series of 1 and 2 touch passes together, and whip in precise crosses or cross field diagonals it looks good....the moment they pass to an Indian player ,,,things either break down or slow down....
Sadly in teams which used 2 foreign goalkeepers it meant having 5 Indian outfield , and when they have to string passes together it looked below par.
PAR being I-League standard , and the reason it is below par is simple, these are below par I-League players.
Kerela Blasters looked pedestrian with Mehtab and co in midfield , and the woeful Nirmal Chettri types.
Nabi and Raju Gaikwad were similarly embarrassing the night before.
Watch the games today and see how few touches the foreign players take compared to the Indians, just to get the ball forward it sometimes takes our boys 4 touches.
No-one is expecting improvements overnight , but lets not kid ourselves.

The only reason you didn't see the Mumbai FC style tactics of players going down & staying down , is because the foreign professionals on the team would hammer them verbally.
For years we said only Africans can handle this heat...bullshit..all the European's seemed to be doing just fine.
As for Penn Orji... i think the commentator summed it up perfectly when he praised his skill on keeping control ....he just went around in circles twice , with his head down , so he couldn't see a pass.....
when he did attempt a pass , it went straight to the opposition.
If this is how things are on 1st game and fully rested , I know what to expect after a few weeks of hectic travel.
