I see good crowd in matches held in Kolkata, Goa, Guwahati and Kerala. Well, these are traditional strongholds of football in India anyways. They should cancel the Delhi franchise or transfer it to Punjab. Will definitely attract more crowd and has a steady local talent pool which will get harvested.
I don't believe we need to cancel the Delhi franchise or even the Pune franchise (which is also doing rubbish). I just think that both clubs could use an early rebrand. FC Pune City is a nice name and their logo is also pretty nice but everything else about them stinks. There marquee is playing like shit, the overall team is not doing so well which will drive anyone away, and their marketing is invisible or shit. No surprise.
Same with Delhi Dynamos. Nice name but their logo is complete shit. Their entire branding is shit. The team is not doing so well, Del Pirlo is not playing great... again, no surprise. Both clubs need to be revamped for next season and they really need to make a connection with their cities to really grab their attention.
Ronaldinho? Who is he? Anyways the Marquee will soon fade away, The concept has been successful enough for ISL to get first a toe into the indian fan, Now that ISL is a success even before we start the semi's i think fans will soon start to get to know the players and his previous playing exp than just blindly accept the draft. Great to hear that drafting is not gonna happen starting next season. Should be great and you can get decent bargains in world market than be forced to choose among the pool and pay commissions to IMG-R
I would not be surprised. He wanted the head coaching job in Montreal last year but lost it to a more experienced guy. But why let go of Marco?
@DX Why let go of the marquee rule? The league will need more clearer salary rules and with that the need for the marquee rule will still be needed but it would be used differently. Marquee players don't have to be superstars.
