    the kolkatta team makes me feel that this league deserves a chance.... and given the effort they are giving for the league with the effort from them it will be really upset if the same enthusiasm isnt shown by the rest of the team...

    But what is the case about the rest of the teams.... we hear few news about NEUnited and kerala blasters... hardly any news from other team and its owners in terms of any efforts from their interest in team..

    at the current scenario, it will be easy to merge the league by taking the enthusiastinc owners from both i-league and ISL to be renamed as Major league football - India

    @namewtheld...
    Kanteerava stadium is nowhere near ready and BFC have refused to allow its player's to go into the IMG-R "pool"..
    SUN have nonidea what they are doing...unless they are planning to relocate to Chennai...they have no ground to train or play in Bangalore

    I think the main rival of Atletico de Kolkata should be North East United FC.

    In love with Athletico de Kolkata (ADK)!! Loving their interest. Anyways coming to ISL, I feel except for Athletico, Kerala, Goa and NE United, rest 4 teams have gone for toss. It will difficult to put a decent performance by ISL in its 1st edition and might result in huge loses for the team. And I am afraid if the 1st edition fails, 2nd edition (if it still exists) will be able gather any attention from fans or sponsor at all with retired players in roster.

    They will in that case get newer players...recently retired ones at that time... Marquee players at present already old wont be used again next year i think

    @gaffertape So I am connecting two separate events here. One is the failure of talks between BFC and SUN Group. The other is the acquiring the rights of Chennai Stadium by ISL group. Is it possible that they have done it for Bengaluru franchisee to relocate, as a backup plan?

    Some fans are conjecturing that the SDAT deal for Chennai stadium is to kill I-League by not allowing new entrants from that city. But I would like to think that ISL would not go so far so brazenly to harm the domestic league.

    It will be really sad for Kolkata team if ISL fails due to mismanagement from the other teams and organizers. They are really doing, in terms of promotion, what we want. If other teams give out similar vibes, a good interest can be generated
