There are two halves of Premier Division, top half of 10 teams which play single legged encounters and the bottom half which I think plays a double leg. Bottom 4 from top half gets relegated and subsequently top 4 of bottom half gets promoted. That's Premier Division and then you have First Division going all the way down to 5th division .
Top half (called Premier A) has 11 teams: Army XI, Aryans Club, Bhawanipore Club, East Bengal, George Telegraph, Mohammedan SC, Mohun Bagan AC, Peerless SC, Southern Samity, Tollygunge Agragami & United SC. Each team plays other 10 in a single legged championship. Thus there are only 10 matches for each team & the entire show is expected to be completed by September 10th. (max). ETV News Bangla will telecast the matches. How many matches will be telecast live is yet to be finalized since Utpal Babu & his team has not yet finalized the fixtures & match timing. But knowing IFA.......we can expect everything to be in order just before the kick-off of the 1st. Match.
