The 28th JCT Punjab State Super Football League 2014-2015 (sponsored by JCT Limited) is starting today (August 25) and will continue till October 19, 2014 in many cities & rural areas of Punjab.
A total of 56 matches are scheduled to be held in a double leg league basis, out of which major part of the league will see eight top gunners (BSF, RCF, Punjab Police, JCT Academy, CRPF, PSPCL, United Punjab FC and Dalbir FA) to play 24 matches in Guru Gobind Singh Stadium, Jalandhar.
Besides this, each club has been assigned two home matches to be held in their home-towns, whereas in order to expand the league to rural level in the entire State of Punjab, some areas where Grassroots Football projects are also going on, have been chosen to host Super League matches for nurturing football in rural and Grassroots areas of Punjab.
The Assam State Premier League kicks off today!!!! The league will kick-off with a new format with 12 clubs divided into 2 conferences of 6 clubs each. Newly formed Guwahati FC will participate in the league as well.
First match will take place between Karbi Anglong Morning Star FC and Trinayanjyoti FC.
Article on one of the clubs, Barhoongka AC, who shall play in the APSL. First match for them is May 31st against Green Valley. Guwahati FC will play May 30th against Tezpur United.
