@soccerlover EB didn't have any problems filling Barasat untill they dropped off the title race. MB's match organization was farcical, don't blame the crowds.
Ok...so from 2mrw if the ticket prices goes upto Rs100 @maidan, u expect Bagan & EB (which in any case not seeing a full house)supporters to cough up that money and come to the ground. What crap!
Lets face the reality and not cover up things - just b'cos it involves Bagan and EB.
This is precisely the reason, we(the supporters) are happy with Rantis(not the peak Ranti Martins), Odafas, Plazas, Kamos and the officials more so - b'cos by signing these spent forces they earn their livings thru cut money.
Now the other side of enthusiasm! Southern Samity players did not turn up against Railways FC because the footballers had not received their salary...reportedly because of a tussle of two lobbies and a lack of transparency in the club...seems that the incompetent club officials and the callous IFA are hell-bent on destroying whatever little is left of this moribund league! http://xtratime.in/find-out-the-new-turmoil-of-calcutta-football-league/
Don't think ticket prices was the main reason MB stands were half empty last I-League. Poor event management, absolute lack of promotion of matches are bigger factors than ticket prices.
In yesterday's other matches, Calcutta Customs drew 1-1 with Rainbow AC. Sumit Das scored for Rainbow while Rajon Burman scored for Customs. Pathachakra was defeated 0-1 by Peerless SC. Sukhwinder Singh scored the goal for Peerless. Eric Brown of Pathachakra received a Red Card in the 22nd minute and will miss the match against East Bengal on 7 April

The same supporters won't show any unprecedented enthusiasm during I-League matches when ticket prices are raised to Rs100!
This is the reason, football is still in an amateur stage in Kolkata!
Lets face the reality and not cover up things - just b'cos it involves Bagan and EB.
