Lets not divert from a very valid point, just bcoz its raised by the wrong person.....what IFA has been doing has become almost balatant...the penatlties/scheduling everything seems to magically help only 1 team....MB/MSC are just waiting for an excuse to put junior teams in this sham and be done with it
Yesterday Pranjol was sleeping 2 feet away from defender who handled a goal bound ball....but Pranjol is known to have allergy to one particular team. But today towards the end the officials reminded me of Eknath Solkar at FSL lurking to pounce on a (half or quarter) chance. Anyway this is Utpal League.....nearing its last lap before it becomes another IFA shield & Utpal dada can rightfully demand the entire discredit for that.
Didn't watch MB's match so can't comment on the penalty demand but today's penalty was a valid one, a clear push from behind in the box. Why the defender who was already on a yellow wasn't shown another and sent off is a question which is to be asked.
League is still wide open but one club is already in "run away" mode which they have gained expertise in.
Defender was already having an yellow card, he committed the so called foul which warranted a penalty award....but the referee didn't show him 2nd yellow & the subsequent Red card.....was he content inwards that his job has been done ?
@Carbon_14 Mate.....questions are raised when there is any alleged controversy. India raised the Bucknor issue at Sydney, though they lost the preceding one at Melbourne also.
Realistically, in 2017, I would say to identify and give upcoming young players some game time. MB has been doing it for last couple of seasons and now thanks to ISL, EB has been forced to do the same. That's why you see guys like Prakash Sarkar, Brandon, Chullova, Laldanmaiwa, Mehtab Singh getting regular match time for EB.
