Sameehg Doutie put the Red & Whites ahead after 59 minutes despite the hosts wasting plenty of chances throughout the match.
But Jayesh Rane equalised for the visitors on 66 minutes.
Hans Mulder’s deflected shot coming in quick succession as well.
But ATK’S Mr. Dependable Iain Hume converted the Penalty at the 86 minutes to level the score line.
But we were expecting a cracker of a Match. And we got to see it.
Here are five things we learned
1. Hélder Postiga is the centre of attention – again
Love him or hate him, Hélder Postiga is rarely boring.
He should have bagged the match ball. He missed 3-4 clear chances.
2. Sameehg Doutie has always been a very capable footballer
The South African is a multi-talented midfielder, competent in a number of midfield roles.
He was probably ATK’S best player today. He created quite a few clear chances but Hélder Postiga was unable to capitalized those chances.
He scored the opener for ATK & Earned that penalty also.
But we missed his Summersault today.
3. Arata Izumi will be missed
Though Javi Lara showed some class but we missed the flavour of Arata Izumi. Molina should use Abhinas or Jairu in the left flank. Javi Lara can play as a CentralMidfielder. We definitely missed one Central Midfielder today. Borja & Bikram are known as Defensive Midfielders.
4. Hume-Postiga combination will blossom
Though there were lot of mischances but there were lot to excite the ATKFans. Last year it was only one man show(Humey). But we can definitely say that Hume-Postiga combination will be on fire this season.
5. Better mentality required
We missed the real BorjaFF in the first half but in the second half got to see some glimpse of Real BorjaFF. Perhaps he wasn’t 100% fit. We how he’ll be fit soon.
ATK had the tendency to concede Goals in Habas’s Era looks like it will continue in the new era of José Molina.
But Overall it was a good performance from the team. Hope we’ll fight back hard against Kerala Blasters on Wednesday.
