@Bad Very Interesting. But once Boxing India is reinstated, the medals won if any, will be accounted to India? In the past, in 1992 Barcelona Olympics, this has happened in the case of Yugoslavia due to Civil War in the country. But then the country broke into so many pieces that medals were not reinstated.

One if the prominent news agencies reported today that India is expecting only 2 medals in Rio. Reflections?

My guess is between 2 to 5 medals. We should get around 2 medals in Shooting. Other then that, we have outside chance of winning one medal each in Mens Hockey, Archery and Badminton.
India really messed up in Boxing (not having elections in Boxing federation, dadagiri of M C Marykom) and Sushil Kumar/Satpal fighting in Wrestling. "Hum Nahin to aur koi bhi nahin" attitude and weak association.
 Old unfit players cite their past laurels and cling to their position using blind media, politics. This is not IPL, Olympics is a different ball game. Sports Associations should be strong and kick the oldies out.

My friend, India is a country run by old people with geriatric mindset....stage 1: "Hum Nahin to aur koi bhi nahin" stage 2: "Tumhe koi Dekhe toh Jalta hai Dil"..crab mentality everywhere

wresling-2 medals(vinesh phogat & yogeshwar dutt)
archary-1 medal expected
badminton-1 medal(saina nehwal)
boxing-1 to 2 medals(shiva thapa)
gymnastics-if everything goes right one medal can be expected
tennis-1 medal expected
