@munna219777: Oh, then you have missed out on a lot. As you say, there are no dubbed Hindi versions of his classics. He made a Hindi telefilm called 'Sadgati' starring Smita Patil and Om Puri, have you seen it? However, many of them are available with English subtitles. You can catch them on YouTube. Not sure about 'Sonar Kella'. Two of my personal favourites are ' Kanchenjungha' and 'Nayak' (The Hero). You can watch them here (with English subtitles) to get a flavour of Ray's films. (Please do tell me how you liked them; I absolutely dote on these two)

I do want to introduce my students to the rich and variegated world of Indian cinema and not only of Bengali and Hindi films. Of course Bimal Roy and V Shantaram are classics but I also want them to know about directors like Adoor Gopalkrishnan and Girish Karnad who have enriched our cinematic landscape in their own ways.
