@ashindia: I got around 80-odd points yesterday (my highest in a single day, I think) on IFN...about 60 of them were accrued by posting in the AFC Asian Cup thread itself
An interview (in Bengali) of the legendary Majid Bishkar, arguably the best foreigner to have played on Indian soil. Majid reveals that he now lives in Khorramshahr, fondly remembers his time in Kolkata, especially his stint with East Bengal (where, according to him, he spent the best part of his footballing career in India) and regrets leaving the club and joining Mohammedan Sporting. He reminisces about the times spent with his coach P.K. Banerjee, Manoranjan Bhattacharya and Prasun Banerjee. He says that he is 62 and still a bachelor. He says that he is still fit and coaches a small team in a provincial league. Apart from that, he has a regular job--he works in a "post bank"-- a private organization under the auspices of Iran police. He expresses the wish of returning to Kolkata, especially if East Bengal invites him as a special guest during their centenary celebrations.
