reg ur comment on UP .. as u said, Media plays a major role.. UP has population of around 200 crore and it's huge and governance will be a problem for any govt.. almost all major parties rules and nothing much changed.. BJP or Congress are no exceptions here..
First thing is Literacy rate should be improved , secondly strict rules & punishments and final thing is sex ratio.. substantially, we can see the difference.. Almost all state govt irrespective of parties, taking steps to improve Literacy rate including U.P & Bihar and we will see the difference in few years..
but the problem is abortion rates increased or female child abandoned due to this rule as most of them still looking for at-least 1 male child to carry their surname or name baring Kerala & few NE states..
@Deb_Ban on the contrary, the actual number is probably lesser than 19 lacs. You seem to ignore that many people, including Kargil War veterans, were excluded from NRC. Even with this trumped up numbers, they don't make up even 5% of total national population.
India's Population will peak at 1.7 billion and plateau after that. At the end of 2100 only African continent will have an increasing population. Rest all continent will have decreasing population.

Students in school need to be taught the economics of having a baby, raising it and it's negative impact on your bank balance.
