I know it's a bit too much to ask but i think our government should halt all incoming flights as soon as possible as a precaution . It's near impossible and will result in serious economic loss but health should be our No.1 concern . Once the virus achieves local transmission in states like UP , Bihar,MP,Jharkhand,Chattisgarh etc,there will be no stopping it .
There are many Doctors and Biologists here on IFN who have more and proper knowledge on this topic.
There is something more to the story. Thousands of Indians have returned from China. Lot of jewellery workers, medical students from my state Rajasthan have returned from there. Still not a single death we have seen in India. Even those suspected have recovered. Infact whole Africa, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka zero deaths- do these people have better immunity or any Genetics reason ? As @goalkeepar ; once said that we dont have genes for Football, but surely our genes have a good immunity against this coronavirus threat if this theory has any credence !!
Flight bans dont work - even China is now opening more airports as corona cases have dropped drastically in last few days.
Why is Southern Hemisphere coping so well ? Hardly anything we have seen in countries like Argentina or Angola. Is climate a factor ? Demographics / Race of people ?
