I don't want to have Colin Toal for U-23 team though having him would be great. Colin Toal is doing recommendable job in YDP program and helping in recognizing young talents. That's the precise reason I don't want to overload him. India U-23 job will require major portion of his focus on this job leaving him having less amount of time for YDP, thus affecting the future talent development. Thus I would like to have two different people for India U -23 and YDP program.
I am not in favor of great tactician for India U -23 but rather I would go for a Youth Coach who could help the players in developing them into a better player. I am being bit bias, but I would like to have a foreign youth coach someone like Bulpin or Toal who can help the players and also introduce some amount of modern training techniques. Most on Indian coaches are not good in nurturing youth and modern training techniques, though they have a great matching reading skills and tactician. More weight should be given to play and nurture talent not on results and tactics (though they are important), given this is developmental sides. But I must say thanks to Bulpin's and Coal's collective work we could see so many quality U-23 players in playing eleven in Indian National Team and this year I-league.

All those people that wanted him gone were the people that saw he was British and thought straight away that all he did was long ball when really he did a good mix.

Ideally that would be great. But I am sure he is not going to come back given AIFF's way of terminating his contract citing some trivial issue. Anyone with self respect would not like to come back in this situation.
Is anybody aware of any good Dutch or Spanish youth coach (should be wiling to take up India job)? They are very good in youth development. I am waiting for Robert Baan to suggest some dutch youth coach.

Thomas Rongen coached the United States national under-20 soccer team. He led the US U-20 team to 2 FIFA U20 World Cups and in the 2007 U20 World Cup led the US to the Quarter Finals before losing to Austria 2-1.
Also Jan Versleijen who coached the Australia under-20 soccer team. He led them to the semi-final finish in the AFC Youth Championship.
Personally I would hire Thomas Rongen as he managed to get some young American Soccer players and turn them into World Cup material and that is an achievement because in 2007 the US was still shit when it came to youth football.
I just saw one more : Rini Coolen ex - Adelaide United coach is available and could be good option. Other One Ruud Krol (most appropriate as Savio replacement).
Jan Olde Riekerink, Gery Vink (Ajax FC Youth Coach), Danny Blind(Ajax FC Youth Trainer), etc ex Ajax Youth coaches should be looked. Ajax has very good youth academy and are very much renounced for their youth development.

Most of these coaches would be way to expensive. I like Ruud Krol for Savio replacement. If we could get a high end Ajax youth coach then we could be in an amazing place.
We could also go after former Germany youth coach Horst Hrubesch.
Also we need to remember that the U23 coach should also be Senior Coach because then that coach would, when selecting the senior squad, select more younger players. Also foreign coaches would be much less biased.

Brilliant thing. If we could get a moderately experienced AJAX coach, imagine the things he can do!
I know most of them would be expensive but if could get them for two years just like Robert Baan, it would be benefiting for both parties. India would be benefited because of high quality that the coach would bring into Indian football. Also the new coach, because India would great launching pad for him, if succeeded it would boost his resume as he would be able to convert a low graded team into high graded team. On the other hand if failed, he always has the excuse of the low quality. <!-- s:think: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/eusa/think.gif" alt="" title="Think" /><!-- s:think: -->
