So ya, this makes it even more "fishy". The two best Indian players on the team happen to be injured while the ones who are good but honestly would not be too scared to lose out on, are okay and with the team.

So today udanta, daniel  and alwyn played for BFC in state league .. but available for national team ... udanta and daniel could have got their india debut in saff .. but they will not .. what a shame for us

Udanta played one season as pro though mostly as a sub... but senior national debut for Daniel will be too early..
Let the kid show his talent at league then shall we give him a chance for at senior level..

SAFF was a perfect event to make their debuts for the NT,what a shame

Being in Trivandrum, I observed multiple issues in SAFF Cup:

1. Extremely less publicity. Most people in Trivandrum didnt know about this.

2. No local media partnership; either print or visual/radio partners. Huge mistake.

3. No specific inauguration ceremony conducted. It was just like another small tournament.

4. No boards/hoardings around Trivandrum about the SAFF Cup. National Games had several such campaigns which helped in publicity.
