@gaffertape spot on dude..ileague is lucky to have Aizawal...its going to be carnival there!! hope we see a team from Kohima and Sikkim soon.....personally i would like KBFC to start afresh this year and give it one more shot...better scouting from local leagues (CFL/MPL/even GPL) should get them some decent talent who can be built into a unit with an organised 3 month pre season. Definitely they need a different marketing team and show to Pune that they have ambition, crowds should and would follow.....Do they really have to play at Balewadi??? are their options closer to the city, even if the stadium is smaller (Pune guys can comment??)......

Starting afresh should start from changing their name ...

@agree Deb_Ban Maratha inspired name would be better and they really need to find an option to Balewadi..

Why can't they provide transport to Balewadi and play at 6pm or 8pm , somehow avoid the the rush hour...

If Delhi Dynamos can change the logo & catch phrase ...then maybe KBFC can re-brand..

I'd have more hope on Aizawl FC ...and also curious to see how RWFC respond to the situation...

Them and Lajong look to be more focussed on Youth Development , than the League...

This years I-League will be a very interesting one for sure

@gaffertape...interesting league?? (better than ISL any day for sure but hardly competitive) looks like a 2 horse race again (MBvs BFC) who could be the contenders? don't see any other team with real ambition.... though I hope MB and BFC perform better in AFC this time (if they can host a semifinal at Kanteerava/ Slat lake, it would be epic)....that would bring the interest back amongst the competition to invest in teams. Just wish MFC would get a few more sponsors onboard and start investing in the team. None of the NE teams look like genuine contenders this time.

The title race was close last year with a 2 horse race....and we had a 4 to 6 horse relegation dog fight...thats well over 50%of the League fighting for something every game...and no regular 6nil plus scores that we had from the days of Utd Sikkim , Air India etc.

But you are right in some regards...disappointing to see Pune FC and Salgaocar haven't really got much title ambiiton nor does East Bengal

EB is rebuilding the core, the way they did when Morgan first arrived. Expect a few new guys coming up post CFL.

Did @deepakc really ask for a guy from Pune to comment? :-?

East Bengal : look settled in CFL , will probably get a new Coach & Marquee after ISL
MOHUN BAGAN : cash crunch could decide their foreigners situation for I-League
Salgaocar : sibling rivalry fueling the desire to improve
SCdeGoa : best chance to brag about being beat Goan team and some genuine youth development
Pune FC : contemplating folding I-League team
    KBFC :contemplating folding I-League team
SLFC : will use youngsters & only add foreigners in December. Owner and AIFF vice-president is lobbying for "No foreigners" in I-League
    RWFC :contemplating folding I-League team
BFC : looking for way into ISL
    MFC : indifferent
Aizawl FC : just happy to be here
