If it's about time, then football as a game is never a waste of time, as a pastime or from a professional standpoint nor are efforts whether muddled up due to some reason. As far as money goes, ISL haven't had any revenue generated in terms of whatever information is out there against all the chuckloads of money spent until now in the first season. And as far as hot weather is concerned, forget about three and a half continents playing football, but that's not happening anytime soon, is it? Especially with so many Latin American and African teams doing really well irrespective of no money, absence of TV rights, and other aspects of revenue generation even when it comes to their national leagues/systems.
Been following IFN for quite some time. If anarchist ideas make any sense, IFN members should be running AIFF or atleast form a major part of it. And this is not sarcasm. I'm dead serious. It's not too hard to make football relevant in a country with a population of 1.4 billion. Or fuck that, for revenue generation roughly 200 million from urban india and the middle-class which forms a part of the consumerist economy. Football sector need start-ups. I'm all for it.
Now the disaster of Pune clubs shutting down was waiting to happen. We just hoped it wouldn't until ISL and I league merged. Even Bengaluru FC might shut down if the state of the I-league doesn't change anytime soon. BFC is a fantastic club but they can't run alone without a league feeding them and their fans the thrill of what a competitive league must. It's always a give and take. No ecosystem can survive or rather thrive in any field alone, more or less. 5 years tops and that's all that AIFF has got right now. IMO we will back with PSUs and other corporate teams, ground zero that is, if ISL fails which is what everyone's betting on. I don't put my bets on gambling though. Wait and watch is an option. The other one I stated in the earlier comment. That's the only revolution minus corporate pressure, and AIFF lobbying that can bring innovation into the field of sports in general, and football in specific. Quite pessimistic about the current situation. Clubs closing down every year in the top division is not at all good for the usp of the league especially when the national team is ranked alongside SAFF giants (or worse?) and the state of affairs from every angle is close to pathetic. The only usp working in favor and giving a glimmer of hope is the Indian economy (the macro side : Numbers) which is again much hyped because no other country has fucked and produced as many gentlemen and women as we have in the last 50 years. (Read : Population stats). *Rant over* Thank you (I assume for claps?)
MUFC means what?? Hope its not a short form for some Euro football club. PLEASE introduce yourself first in introduction thread before giving sermons. Thanks.
