It is an old trick to select a part of a comment and generalise it to show someone as a racist/bigot/opinionated. I have specifically told that the section of the crowd that resorts to physical violence is definitely uncultured. Violent behaviour is uncivilized and uncultured in any modern definition of the terms. If you don't know, please update your definitions. For your kind information, I too am the part of that Kolkata crowd. Go play your trick somewhere else.
MB players and fans were seriously involved, so their taking up violence out of justified? Did the Panama fans and players go to the match just to have a good time? Rather there was more at stake for them in the semi-final of CONCACAF (materialistically, emotionally probably there are equal stakes in every match). So, with your logic, even if Panama players had killed a couple of the opponents, that could be pardoned.
In no way I have justified poor refereeing. May be you need a second reading to understand my comment properly. On the contrary, I have countered your justification of violence.by drawing illogical and untrue parallel with the international football.
"MB players and fans were seriously involved...." This statement is what @AKB implied by saying "such comments are really nice when you are only cosmetically involved" So you have to understand that in the context @Soccerlover Rest of your statement doesn't make much sense to me and I have conveyed whatever I had to convey in this regard. I have not been able to follow CFL Kolkata derby much closely for many years now so I am not sure whether your accusation of discrimination with MB is just a perceptional one or the entire IFA administration is really conspiring against Bagan. In any case, beating up people does not solve any of that problem.
The referree may have been poor but there is no justification to physical assault. If IFA doesn't doesn't do it, AIFF should step in and ban this player, definitely in excess of what luis Suarez received, for what was a much smaller crime compared to this.
I didn't want to stretch it and I kind of had predicted that you would say I should get more involved to pass a judgement. Honestly, I can never be. I am neither a Bangal nor a Ghoti to get involved in the way you guys get. But to say that I have to go fight for or against ISIS to pass on judgement whether their barbarism is uncivilised or not, is utterly ridiculous.
Now for monkey's sake do not say that I equated Mohun Bagan with ISIS..or a monkey. The way you distorted my earlier statement, I am scared.
I have never justified crowd violence, I only said it happens even in first world countries as well. So do not twist the statement. If you are not following CFL Derbies closely then you are unaware of what's going on here. I said in one of my earlier posts that Lalkamal should be banned for a period but also said what about the Referee..... the real culprit ? Did I ever support Lalkamal's behaviour ?
Honestly I have not seen first foul by Dudu which earned him first yellow card. Second foul was an unnecessary one tackling from behind when Khabra was absolutely going no where. That was a foul and obviously a yellow card offence. Yes considering the derby tempo referee could have verbally warned Dudu. At the same time if every one honestly watch reaction of Lalkamal after awarding the second freekick to EB it was a straight red. He pushed the referee and couple of EB players before Kean calmed him down.
On the other hand Mehtab launched a double footed tackle to Katsumi which was ugly and instead of a yellow a red card could have been shown. But N numbers of time Lal and Thirthankar went double footed to Khabra, Zairu and Ruidas. Any derby is hard to control. But slapping the referee after the match is not acceptable under any circumstances. I can understand Lal's frustration he was supposed to lead the midfield of MB but totally lost the plot after early first goal. He failed to guide juniors and was loosing easily to Khabra and Mehtab. So failure to play converted into failure to control tempo.
