I guess Dong is yet to be tested. His real test of character would be in the I - League. He wasn't impressive at all in ISL. He is fleet footed - but thats about it. Any avg.Japanese/Korean player is nippy. U really can't have a player only for set piece. However to be fair to him, he did not get a supporting striker in the CFL league , which would have got us more clarity about his passing sense/supporting role that he can play behind the key striker.
The legendary P.K. Banerjee also the other day said that he is just a "mediocre" player. And experts have't really gone gaga over him so far. So, lets wait n watch...
Agreed but certainly they give Indians a chance to see advantages of techniques and speed over brute Nigerian force....i for one would certainly like to see more coaches and young players from Japan and Korean
Is katsumi worth the hype? should bagan stick with him..? They have decent wing players....i would like to see a box to box taisuke kind of players....
Katsumi is a decent player. He is an out & out attacking medio who gels very well with Preetam Kotal & also Dhanachandra Singh. He was not at his best during the CFL because Mohun Bagan didn't have any fixed wing backs in consecutive matches. His contribution to the team Winning the I-League cann't be forgotten. I think we will again see the Katsumi we all know once the proper squad starts business. To me he is "neighbour's envy & owner's Pride".
