how good is elche u16? I mean how good is their academy system? is it possible that our colts impress some coaches there and earn some youth contracts?
"Ninthoi latched upon a long throw by Goalkeeper Dheeraj and seeing the rival Goalkeeper off his line, he chipped it over his outstretched hands from about 35 yards."
Most Spanish sides have very good youth systems so this is certainly an impressive win. The big game will be against Sociedad who usually have an exclusive basque only policy but find impressive talent interestingly and develop them well. Villareal have a sightly different approach and lacking finances to fight over the best talent in Spain, look to bring in players from other countries including south America.
It is definitely possible for the kids to catch the eyes of scouts if they already haven't. It is the practice of most sides in Europe to employ scouts to watch games and tournaments, or in some clubs' case, hire scouts for different regions.
Also to add on the the information provided at the beginning of the thread, this team played 14 games in Germany, won 8, drew 2 and lost 4. I do not remember the score-line for each of the games and the opposition and the goal-scorers but it would be nice to have that info stored somewhere I think.
