India will take on Sri Lanka in the inaugural match of the Men’s soccer event of the 12th SAG which will be held at the Nehru stadium from February 6. This time six teams are taking part in the championship and they are divided into two groups. Host India are in group ‘A’ along with Sri Lanka and Maldives while group ‘B; comprised of Nepal, Bangladesh and Bhutan. There will be altogether 6 matches in the group stage and all the games will be held at the Nehru stadium unless the ground, which is yet not ready, doesn’t create any problem during the championship. All six group matches will kick off at 5 in the evening.
The tournament will be shifted to the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium after the completion of the group matches. The venue will host two semi finals along with 3rd place decider and final. Dates of both the semi finals are February 13. The first one will kick off at 2 PM while second one will start at 7 in the evening. The final is slated to be held on February 15 from 7PM.
Meanwhile the ticket price for the group stage has kept very nominal which will be rs 10 and 20 respectively. However semi finals and final ticket will cost much higher. The prices of the tickets for semi finals are rs 100 and 200 while final tickets will cost 50 rupees more in both the categories.
