How has Jeje fared against Iran, Oman, AFC Champions leaguetc.? Even Sumit Passi scores against Laos and Bhutan, he didn't even play I-League properly D Goals scored in fixed matches doesn't improve anyone.

Its fucking Iran and Oman. These countries have proper youth development. It would not be easy for Jeje to compete against them at all.

And we have the worlds 3rd best circus. That should be enough to beat this minions like Iran. Just ask PP & co., they cant stop smiling (...im sure its got NOTHING to do with the IMG bonus to their bank accounts & all bcoz of the fab victory over regional giants BHUTAN)

Jeje had scored before ISL. He had suffered a loss of form, now at 28-29, he has rightly peaked. IMO, it has nothing to do with ISL or Matterazi, if it has then even Constantine needs to be credited alongside Sonjoy Sen.

The credit goes to Matterazi solely. He got him to play in the right position (a bit withdrawal - b'cos Jeje with his physique cannot match up to the big bodied defenders) behind Mendoza - and in the last ISL one would notice Jeje mostly played a quick one-two with Mendoza  and thereby releasing both him and Mendoza from the clutches of the defenders. That helped him a lot b'cos he was not holding on to the ball needlessly and instead released it fast before taking the right position - normally free from the melee; thats how he could set himself free and since he has a powerful right foot he used it effectively.

Sanjoy doesn't even deserve an ounce of credit, b'cos he had benched jeje mostly in the first year(when Bagan won the I-League) and this season he again started with Balwant, and it was only when Balwant got injured that Sanjoy had not other option but to play Jeje (which means Sanjot never had the confidence in  him); once he got an opportunity he just replicated his playing style of Chennayin and only grew in confidence; so in a way Balwant's injury was a blessing in disguise both for Jeje and Bagan and he proved to be an asset for the team.

Regarding the joker Constantine - the less is spoken about him, the better it is!

And hence my point, Jeje isnt a half decent striker without a Mendoza or Norde or Glen next to him to draw away defenders. He does and will continue to get exposed against even half decent teams in the international stage, he hasn't really improved. Probably the AFC Cup exposure along with consistent NT experience has improved his tactical sense but technically he hasn't and can't improve.

At the age of 29(going by ur count - am not aware of his actual age!), u cant improve technically!

And he has definitely improved - else he would't have been so prolific scorer in the past one year.

U had mentioned about "loss of form" earlier ; i think it wasn't such case, instead i would blame it upon the coaches who coudn't identify the right position for him ( this guy doesn't have any attitudinal issue - unlike the immensely talented PC Lalumpuiya) and Materrazi could exploit that and shaped him up and in the process Chennayin, Bagan and the Indian NT benefited.

People can talk all day about this and @soccerlover is right completely but one thing no one can deny as well is that his performances, both internationally, with Chennaiyin, and also Bagan, have improved his confidence. It is like watching him back in 2011 again.
