Went to stadium today really impressive match.
India was unlucky and I feel
What I noticed
1. gk and defense was not up to mark
2. India got tired after constant running 1st half
3. Indian wingers were running and running until they run out of space
4. Indian players are technically good
5. Indian players are physically weak compared to UAE
7. Height is a big problem for India. due to this India took all corners short except the last one.
8. UAE got 3 chances And they scored 3 of it
9. India was ware wasteful in front of goal
10. India Dominated the entire match except the last few minutes
11. India would had drown if the penalty for hand ball was given by the referee
UAE all 4 defenders and 2 center forwards are build like bulls. very difficult for India our forwards to get past them. once there bulls start attacking our weak defenders are unable to hold them.
Speaking after the game India boss Nicolai Adam was clearly disappointed with the way his side capitulated in the second 45. “I think we all have seen a very good first half from my team. In the second half UAE was very efficient. They played a style of football they have to play. When you win it’s the right thing to do,” he said.
The German refused to blame fatigue or whether conditions for the defeat and said it was down to poor decision-making instead. He was particularly critical of his team’s style of play after the break. “In the first half we have seen that we play in a certain style that responds to my job also to identify a playing style that suits India. We do not want to play high and long ball, I personally do not like that football. They played like that. When you get 3 points out of that style, than there is nothing to say against it. But we will not play like that for sure,” he explained.
Adam also bemoaned the lack of impact off the bench for his team saying, “We have game changers on the bench, but unfortunately not today. In Germany and Norway we have brought in players from the bench and they totally changed the game. But substitutions sometimes work and sometimes they don’t. Congratulations to UAE they worked for them.”
Not surprised with Iraq. There's a blog run by a Iraqi fan which I came across in google, he exposed about how rampant age cheating is in their country and how their U-23 team, which played recently in Rio is actually averaged 27.
