Acc to the new AFC guidelines the minimum no. of matches for a league is set at 22. That means ISL or I League should have more teams inorder to play in Asia . If MB,EB,BFC leaves for ISL , then Dempo and MSC might be in line for direct entry to the I League . I suppose PPs visit to Dempo got something to do with this .
Hoping to see this kind of signing and structure in future .
Richard Costa Played Goa Pro League with FC Bardez last year (State League ) and performed well , After that he signed for CB in I-League ( Moved to Better League in Local Club) , Performed well there and Today he signed 2 years Contract with East Bengal ( Moved to Bigger Club in Same League ).
ISL Or I-League or Merged League is fine but we need better state leagues so that players can get chance to play quality league football in smaller league also .
Has that never happened before? I had to make wiki pages for players who have made the jump from state league club to I-League club and then giant club before. Richard Costa is probably one that shouldn't be an example there since he was already part of Churchill Brothers in the past.
