There will never be a merger. Stop discussing about it. The ISL franchises would be at a greater loss if the league runs for 6-7 months. The entertainment value will gradually decrease. The team maintenance cost will increase. Even if the merchandise sales figure remain constant, the returns will spread over the year. At the same time, advertisement factor will decrease, cause brand value will decrease. They'll have to bring down the ticket prices to pull crowd for all the matches. And finally, they will no more be immune to relegation.
So, it's either ISL and I-league simultaneously, or no ISL.
As per the original plan , Teams will definitely increase in both leagues . There are plans to increase the total number of teams to 50 with 4th tier league and state leagues .
No point in being pessimistic . One may feel realistic but that will curb the creativity . Fear will always bring one down to his knees .
4 year ago who would have thought football that was limited to PES will be a key event in my life .
Broke my toe while playing football in cricket academy . I wanted to become a cricketer but that injury resulted in me dropping out in 4th year B Tech as well as giving up on cricket .
Now 4 year later today things are far better . I still get abused by parents as I am unemployed and I do get angry and irritated due to constant abuse but my faith in time and me and my abilities keeps me kicking .
@deepak dedha I guess the reason has to be peanut butter , Eggs and High intensity interval training
@sam yup not only that but the faith that one day we will be ruling the world in sports keeps me breathing day in day out .
