Lot of EB players can't be auctioned, they have 1 to 2 years of contract left. EB will not release them, irrespective of where they play, ISL or League 1. Same goes for BFC. Also, just because BFC picked the bid doesn't mean they will get in.
Once the status quo of the Top Tier League is confirmed...this way or that way, then only it will be prudent to think about contracts. Either way there has to be an exit clause in each contract & that exit clause can't be one-way. Under the present condition contracts for say 3y/6m, 1 y, 2 y may definitely exist but how effective they will be is not clear.
