What is the status of Duler ground at Mapusa? It still has Artificial Turf right? There were reports that it will be closed down for extra stand and Floodlights. Are they doing some construction there?

Earlier on this thread, there was discussion on multi-purpose stadiums. Why Football should not be played in Cricket or Athletics track stadium. Then there was an example of Baseball stadium Yankee in NYC where Football is being played. Now I found one crazy example of multi-purpose stadium.
Las Ventas in Madrid, Spain. Its a famous place for Bull Fighting and also used for Tennis.

Yankee Stadium is something that is forced on New York City FC. They had no choice. They are actively working with the city to try and get a location for their own stadium as soon as possible. The fans are not fans of the views at all, calling them weird, and Yankee/Baseball hardcore fans are not happy as well.

And this bullfighting thing does not say much when it comes to football played at a cricket venue. You can see it from the 2nd picture you posted that the view is not bad at all from almost the top of the ground to watch the tennis and the temporary seating is also perfect. This would be much harder in a cricket stadium. First off, you would need to close off the first few rows of the actual seats as temporary seating would block the view, the view from the rest of the actual seats would still be far and unsettling and the temporary seating would be a lot more expensive than at that stadium.

And another reason, which also makes the multi-purpose stadiums bad as well, is revenue sharing. Football-only stadiums would allow for an overall better experience and allow the team that owns it complete control. Look at Serie A teams and how teams like Juventus and Milan are doing so.

@goalkeepar The present BJP government in Goa will not allow bullfighting in the state. Moreover Maneka Gandhi who is the the union cabinet minister in Modi government is also a strong animal activist. So not possible.

Hahaha. BJP Government in Goa is trying there best to Legalise Bull fighting or Traditional Dhrio. there is lot of diffrence between bjp of goa and bjp of India. in Goa we control the government and not vice versa.

Now don't get me going on Animal Rights @goalkeeper. I can write a lot on that. But, Short story: Bullfighting or any sort of animal violence is inhumane.
