ATK will play in YBK only. Remaining work will be done only after this year's ISL

I-league clubs need to come up with stadiums. 10,000 seater stadiums will be more than enough given the odd 500 people that comes for games barring cal and north east. At least, these clubs can if things turn out well in two decades be a part of second or third division league and yet do well. Can buy surrounding land for expansions, three decades later expand it. All the talk about 40,000 and 50,000 seaters is BS. Let ISL do that since they presumably have money, at least as long as their marketing shit gives them cherry and coke. Havent heard of any ISL teams post ISL. There are supposed to engage with the community and keep the interest they receive from people who generally give a rat's ass about football, let alone the vision. For Mumbai games, 90% came to watch ranbir and co and cum in their minds while begging for autographs as the players walked a silently out into their team buses. Wanted to buy the official Jersey in order to pour some money back into their investment which obviously will be used for more coke but a part of it might have gone for the game. However, you had the exact number of people who cum for I league selling fake merch that too overpriced outside the venue. How the fuck is ISL helping football infra? They re using existing infra. Not developing defunct ones, or new ones.

MLS began in 1996 but the first football specific stadium for it was built only in 1999 at Columbus.

'Barasat stadium was supposed to be developed as alternative to YBK as the latter was to to kept reserved for ISL. For this, a fund of Rs 50 lakhs was to be shared by IMG-R and IFA. We have spent our share of Rs 25 lakhs, but never got their share of the fund. That is why the job is left unfinished.' -- Utpal Ganguly, President IFA.

So much for infra development by ISL. Let's football!!

And the automatic assumption is that the IFA are telling the truth... this IFA.

Honestly, after seeing this and this from the Atletico de Kolkata U20 matches I think the Kolkata board need to do something similar to this:

I agree on the natural grass surfaces and personally I prefer them a lot over artificial turf but natural grass fields are super hard and expensive to maintain. Even on the picture you just posted I feel that pitch could be a little better... but still amazing condition.

I more just want artificial surfaces for indoor football places, community fields, and community sports centres. Then, hopefully, ISL teams or I-League teams/State federations can have/maintain natural grass surfaces. Something like that. As long as we are able to move from the rubbish the ATK matches were played on and what the Chennaiyin grassroots event was played on I am happy.

Still I doubt about the drainage conditions. Artificial turf is better than water logged muddy grass turf.
