I always want a football purpose stadium which would be rectangular in shape in India. For that hats off. I don't mind the gap between field and stands as it looks good on TV just like we see in Europe. Also Gujarat isn't a football mad state, so this is enough for them
is 110 x 72 meters, bigger than Cooperage or any of the football pitches having atheletic track encircling it.
Standard FIFA dimensions are 105 x 68 meters, but the length for international games can vary between 100-110 meters while breadth can vary between 64-75 meters.
By the way, Chelsea's Stamford Bridge is 103 x 67 meters while Tottenham's previous groung White Hart Lane was 100 x 67 meters.
So comparatively, TrasStadia is well off as regards to pitch dimensions.
If you dont believe me, there is a measure tool on Google maps (pretty accurate) which you can use to compare different grounds and places.
Also, investing to build a football specific stadium in a cricket mad country is something that should be appreciated and NOT ridiculed.
Exactly, Transtadia is something we should appreciate and not ridicule like @munna219777 is routinely doing. They have built a football stadium in Gujarat where hardly anyone knows about football.
Lower bowl is retractable as stated by @BrainFallINDIA. When ever it is required it will pull out from the wall. I have seen same type of seating in Qatar indoor stadiums. But size wise I have doubts. Even though site says it is 111X72 dimension.

The Google map 'measure tool' is fairly accurate with variations of (+/- 3 m).
