The ground may be good but the stadium is very, very awkward.

There were many empty seats on corner / top side seats or near cameras , I think 20k capacity is including temporary tier they add near sidelines
To answer your question , in existing seats it looked like 80% full

As a spectator, Ahmadabad is best both view and capacity wise
Mumbai one is more compact , also its outfield is best among all three.
Temperature wise Pune is most pleasant

Have heard that size-wise, the Ahmedabad pitch is smaller. How true is that? Does the play-area abide by FIFA specifications?

It's not smaller than the min size required by FIFA. The ground is enclosed tightly. That's why it feels so.

So there are minimum sizes.Ahmedabad is closer to minimum FIFA requirement !!!
For people who have seen matches there, is it same as say JLN Delhi or JLN Chennai ? I mean Pitch dimensions of those stadiums compared to Ahmedabad ?

Munna, our eyes get fooled easily. Some grounds look smaller due to the compact design and closer stands. I do not think its easy for someone to judge the size correctly just by looking at it.

Is this more than the meager 30Cr that they had promised initially
