“We are planning to build the stadiums in three phases and will be completed in five years. The stadiums will have a capacity of 15,000 to 20,000 and will be constructed under FIFA standards,” said Mathew Joseph, CEO of Scoreline.

Nice initiatives but still government owned. I hope all the lower and youth teams get to use this infrastructure. Kerala deserves such initiatives. Hope they train more coaches and invest more in Kerala Premier League. If all goes well Kerala can have another team in ISL as well.
The government of Assam has proposed the renovation of the present Nehru Stadium in Guwahati into a brand new #FIFA Standard Football-Specific Stadium with a 30,000 seating capacity, and other facilities around that costing the project Rs. 831 Crores!

Good. we need football specific stadiums without any athletic tracks. if they want athletic tracks, then they should do it like West Ham United when they took over London Olympics stadium.
Personally, I am not a fan of modern stadiums. For me, Upton Park > London Olympics stadium, Highbury > Emirates, Maine Road > Etihad, White Hart Lane > New Spurs stadium. These old stadiums have their own charm which I realized only once they were demolished to make way for new. I will rate the current Goodison Park of Everton over every newly built Qatar stadiums. Sometimes modernization is not always for good.
Bringing in more amenities for fans keeping the old charm, design of football stadium is required.
