A mob can remove the seats and throw them into ground-thats why those bucket seats were removed.
But you need them to host an event like a U17 World Cup. Not every tier but the first 2.

We have Barasat Stadium ready with floodlights.

Few thousend packed unused bucket seats are still there is store rooms at YBK.

West Bengal Govt. is planing to give full responsibility of renovation and future maintenance to a private company who have experience in this kind of jobs.

If bucket seats are installed, the seats will reduce and ticket prices would be higher..thus discouraging the hoodlums to enter.. nd as rightly pointed out, the barasat stadium is ready to host I-league. Even East Bengal ground is apparently upto the mark if EB officials are to be believed. Also, the renovation would be done in phases, not requiring the stadium to be closed down for long periods

Oh ya, high prices for I-League matches will never go down well, probably not until the level rises to where the J. League and MLS are right now (even then it might not go down well).

For the World Cup it depends on how much marketing is done and also what "stars" are "holding hands" with FIFA at that time.

This article says it has been over 2 years Mumbaikars saw competitive football. I would say atleast 5 years since any national level competitive game was played there.
Right now they are all enjoying holidays. When season start, they will start court case proceedings. Now the matter is in Supreme Court. local residents around Cooperage area will not make it happen.
