Because of court case-they were allowed temporary stands only. Local residents are against this stadium. They claim that it is heritage ground.
LOL Heritage ground we have a ground in my home town which was build 1903 so this mean we should worship the ground.
They have their greed. Real estate is very expensive in South Bombay. So if there is more open space, the residents or builders can do more construction. These residents are rich people, they have power to go to court and delay the process. Their aim is to stop football. They put case thru some NGO claiming Noise pollution when football match is there. They also put case in court that they have freedom to walk-if there is football match then there freedom is hindered. Heritage is also one excuse. Now the case is in Supreme Court. It will go for years. Till then Bombay HC has given them a right to build some temporary stand. Lets see how it goes. But those local residents will try their best to sabotage football in Mumbai.
What will happened if some greedy rich man attack mumbai fc fan there should be police to protect the fans they will also try to destroy the property of the stadium
These builder lobby tried to do the same with Hockey Stadium but due to political pressure by Rajiv Shukla(MP of Congress) HIL was able to get Hockey Stadium in Mumbai. Our Mighty Praful Patel can solve Cooperage Stadium problem but I dont know why he is not using his influence. From february only 2 home games are left for Mumbai Fc. There will be more drama.
Some news atlast in Bombay media but I was waiting for something from DNA. They are suffering because of lack of place for local Mumbai league games. Forget I-League but I think that this year they will focus on local MDFA games.
The Bangalore Football Stadium will undergo a makeover with the Karnataka State Football Association planning to demolish three wings of the stadium and increasing its capacity to 45,000.

Meh, not sure how I feel about it. The capacity is perfect for Bengaluru FC. An increase could kill the atmosphere at the games unless the team feels they can potentially get a boost in attendance.
