Wow what a game from Roshan today and a beautiful technical freekick goal. I'm beginning to feel that he is better than Akash Mishra at leftback and equally good on both feet. He has taken away the LB spot in BFC from Ashique and Ajith already

Also what a performance in midfield from Danish Bhatt! He was everywhere on the field and though looks unorthodox, he's very quick and great at one touch passing. No wonder the coach likes him. Also goes on to prove that I league has equally talented players as ISL in terms of domestic players

  • so Kiyan Nassiri is lndain by birth and therefore eligible to play for India? why didn't anyone notice when he was 16-17. maybe he could have played for India in u17 wc.

  • The one guy who had picked up Kiyan and made him a part of Mohun Bagan Team was Kibu Vicuna.

And taklu Habas hardly gave him any game time.

However keen to know why did Juan bring an absolute rookie in a derby when a team is losing? Am sure he wouldn't have imagined, that this guy would suddenly become the toast of ISL! As for EB, guess they had considered him a kid who could suddenly become a game changer. Barring the 3 rd goal, he was kept completely unmarked by the defence.

P.S. : btw this ofcourse was a fake derby! ;)

Kian is eligible for Indian team. He himself has mentioned that as his next target.

Kibu Vicuna had picked up Kian Nassiri, Sheikh Sahil, Subha Ghosh and Deep Saha from MB Academy (coached by Nasim Ali) for MB senior team. Sahil and Subha had already proved themselves.

Starting from July 1987, Foreigners born in India doesn't get Indian citizenship by default.  One of their parent should hold Indian Passport . In this case, I know Kiyan's father (Jamshid Nassiri) stayed back in India and he is a Indian Citizen. Not sure about his mother though.

Starting from July 2004 (not sure about exact year)
    1. either both the parents should be citizens of India
    2. or One of them should be Indian and other should be legal migrant :)

He was not selected to UWC 17 because he wasn't in AIFF academy. I don't think after early few trials, AIFF conduct many. They just concentrated on the batch they selected. Even the likes of Anwar Ali and all made it after they played (& won I think) a practice match for Minerva against Indian team. You can see the difference between '16 AFC U16 & '17 FIFA U17 squads. Minerva boys were the only addition. And ofcourse 1-3 month youth league makes it difficult to find talents.
