๐จ | With the exemptions given to the league organizers by AFC coming to an end this season, the organisers feel adding two more clubs will help them solve the 27 matches per club criteria. The league is set to begin from October later this year.
next season i league winner be there too. i want club from northern kerala, western tamil nadu, gujarat, any proper single northeastern states to be represnted.
No, I league winner will only join from 2023-2024 season
In October 2019, the AIFF announced its new roadmap for Indian football that had the provision for the winners of the 2022-โ23 and 2023-โ24 I-League to be promoted into the ISL.
This roadmap might remain a roadmap only in paper. Doesn't look like FSDL actually interested. If they are increasing 2-4 franchises why not take 2 temas from i-league. Ridiculous.
Also they will continue to play daily, and not during weekends and that is never going to change. And players will never get time to improve. Same things going to last forever
@goalkeepar@indian_gooner Both of you are right. According to the roadmap, the winner of next I-League (2022-2023) will join ISL in 2023-2024.
If the roadmap is followed. By the end of next two seasons, we will have 15-17 ISL teams. Keep it at 16. Even if we have matches daily, a team will have to play on an average just one match in a week, not 2 like now. It's good for the players.

This shows how the strings are still pulled by people from marketing instead of people who actually know a thing about football in India, any Tom Dick Harry who knows a thing about Indian football will push for at least one more franchise from Northeast. these morons know shit about Indian football.
