If there are many academies, then there is a bigger pool. There will be more competition if different academies play with each other. Otherwise there is just one pool and the best bunch will automatically get selected. Complacency will seep in. Regional academies should do recruiting based on their location. We need academies in all states actually. Dutch-- well Netherlands is a very small country. Plus every school there has great sports infrastructure.
They are not making one academy .. Its just all academy will be based Goa and have common hostel... But they all will have training schedule and coaches differently
Common accomodation and common training ground, then how many cadets can they handle? Surely there will be a cap on number of cadets they can take. Instead of increasing capacity of academies, we are going backwards by making one academy. 1.2 Billion population country India, one academy with common accomodation and common training ground as we cannot afford to have academies at Bangalore, Navi Mumbai and kalyani. This is how FIFA money is spent??? FIFA gave money for Regional academies-closed them and shift everyone to Goa with common accomodation? FIFA gave 2 million dollars for Cooperage Ground-still no I-leagie game can be played there as WIFA do not have permission from Municipality over Water Tank. I wonder why FIFA give money to these imbeciles. First they cry, they do not have money. When they give funds, then also they do not do it.
