In Hockey, both the results are decent as India has not sent Full Squad (Understandably for the first time) whereas Belgium seems to be full strength.(Judging by the the name of 3 Goalscorers in their 3-1 win). All 3 names are a key part of their First 11.
In World Athletics Championship,Our Women's 4*400 m women's team performs below par.Never in contention for Final 8.
On the other hand,Our Men's 4*400 m Men's team did well. They finished 10th just outside the top 8(Finalist). Creditable performance by them.
Can someone plz confirm whether it was our full team? Our first team is Kunhu Mohd,Amoj Jacob,Arokia Rajiv and Mohd Anas.Plz confirm whether all of them were running or not???
World Championships of Athletics more or less ended for India.Largely Disappointing.
After Watching the Men's Javelin Final,I would say that even Neeraj Chopra has got long way to go for him to be considered a Genuine Medal Chance at Global level
He is on the rise but I feel he needs atleast 2-3 years for him to be considered a genuine Medal Chance.(Probably 2019 World Championships or 2020 Olympics) onwards he will be a force to reckon with.
Speaking of this Edition only 2-3 performances caught my eye:-
1)Davinder making Javelin Final where he finished 12th.Good Performance by him.
2) Men's 4*400 Relay team finished 10th(narrowly missed the Final) but in terms of Rank was our best Result.Great Performance.
3)Nirmala Sheoran making individual 400m Semi-finals was decent Achievement for her and us.
No one was thinking that we will win Medals at Athletics World Championship. However, improving personal performance is always a sign of having Decent Championship.

not sure about Amoj Jacob... but other 3 are part of the relay event...
as you said... men's team did very well..
now-a-days, relays are so intensive... we never know favorites...
