100% agree with @bad we are slow starters in basketball. Expect performance to improve in coming matches, trust me the talent this team has doesn't reflect in the scoreline. I never liked satnam, over hyped too much importance given to his height.
Just like AIFF the BFI is joke of a federation they have also sold themselves to IMG-RIL however IMG has been better in basketball compared to football. They don't provide proper exposure to the team.
Today,Neeraj Chopra(Our best medal chance) will be seen in action in the Qualification round of Javelin Throw. For those who may not know about him,he in terms of his age and talent is similar to Mbappe Lottin(Just for making people understand about his talent). This is his first Major Tournaments so he is bound to be nervous.
Devindar SINGH (2nd Indian) in Javelin will also try to make the finals.
If both of them manage to qualify then I think this will be the first time ever that 2 Indians would have qualified for Finals of any evnt(In this case Javelin) of Major Athletics event(Like World Championships or Olympics)
While Neeraj Chopra failed to perform, other Javelin Thrower Davinder Singh Kang managed to throw 84.22 m and came 7th in the Qualification Round. 13 Athletes have qualified for the Final Round as 83.00 m was the mark. Good Job by Kang as he maintained his 84 m level which he earlier achieved in India.
Old report on him but it gives some insight on his background.
Lot of hype was created for Neeraj Chopra. In this qualification, 3 commonwealth and 2 Asian athletes have done better distances then him. If he has to win anything next year in Commonwealth or Asian Games- he will have to massively improve. Media should stop saying world champion world champion. Junior level meet is different- senior level competiton is different.
There has been some good performances by Asian Athletes - China, Qatar, Bahrain. even those Asians which failed to win medals gave good competitive performance at top level. It looks like almost every good Asian Athlete skipped Asian Athletics Championships Bhubaneswar. While we celebrated so many Gold medals in that championship, it was a farce actually in the absence of top athletes.
Extremely Creditable performance From Davinder and a big Achievement by him.First Ever Indian to qualify for finals of Javelin.I said, there was an outside possibility for him for qualifying for Finals.Really, great job by him.The best performance by India(in shape of Davinder) at this World Championships.
On the other hand,Neeraj Chopra had a bad outing. He should have at minimum, qualified for finals. He came close but,he should have really qualified for Finals.I feel, the nerves got better of him as this was his First Major Championships.I feel his time will come, and he is destined for bigger things(sadly wasn"t destined for this time.)
Hope,he learns from it and manages his nerves for future events. On a more serious side,he needs to improve his Personal best as well. His Personal best needs to be around 90-92 m,so that he is able to throw around 88m more consistently.I feel,if you throw 88m,then you can be among the medals for sure.Right now,his Personal best is 86.48m and he throws consistently around 85m so he stays just outside the medals at World Events.
However,he is still 19 yrs(he is still learning and trying to get more consistent),so i feel Tokyo Olympics(2020) Onwards where he will be 22,will be his best years in terms of Strength and application,so then he should be around those 90-92m throws which will make him a world class Athlete and a Genuine Medal hope at World level competitions and not having outside medal hope which he was this time.

We are generally slow starters,so I will give them the benefit of the doubt.(even though loss was by a huge margin).
We have the potential to still qualify and move forward in the tournament.
