IOA president Narendra Batra and secretary general Rajiv Mehta met
the IOC members during the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) elections in
Bangkok on Saturday, but they were asked about a guarantee letter from
the government guarantee before any further discussion.
Both these officials now plan to try and reach out to IOC during its
meeting in Lausanne, Switzerland, on March 15 and 16 to demand the
removal of the ban. The situation on the ground, however as per IOA, is
fragile keeping in mind the general elections in the country.
Interesting to know the fate of any international tournament in India including upcoming Hockey Qualifiers in June (Bhubaneswar) as Govt. of India has failed to provide letter that they will not ban Pakistan players.
Junior Asian Wrestling championship has been moved from India to Thailand.
Wrestling Federation of India failed to get a letter from government of India that they will give visa to athlete of all the countries including Pakistan. United World Wrestling has taken away the Rights of India to host the tournament.
Chess makes a comeback at 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games. India has won many medals in the past.Gold Medal performance by Koneru Humpy comes to my mind. Good news for Indian medal prospect.

I am glad to say that India finished 2nd behind China(who got 12 Gold's) with a total of 26 medals including 8 Gold Medals.
This is India's best ever finish, both in terms of Gold's and in terms of position showing our Development in Athletics as a whole.
