OMG Ronny!!!!Have u played hockey at any level? If not then have you watched CHAK De India?<br><br>In that movie if you remember that "Shahrukh khan sends Komal to the Sin Bin despite scoring the goal because she didn't pass the ball to a player who was in a better position so scoring isn't everything."<br><br>He may score hundreds of goals and may learn over a period of time but at this point he lacks basics is what i have to say. <br><br><br>
Then you need to see the trapping he made againet spain before scoring...most indian players wud have been unable to trap that..let alone score...you shud learn to give credit where it is due
So, what are the opinions on the IPL, like where should they go now?<div><br></div><div>For me, I just want to see the BCCI drop the attitude they hold right now which is basically one where they act like the IPL is the NFL (America) or Premier League (England). We are not there yet. The IPL is still a young league which is still growing slowly. Take care of it otherwise more teams will shut shop. Lower the price for a team and focus on putting teams in viable places.</div><div><br></div><div>We need to go back to Pune now and also try getting back into Nagpur. The Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium is an amazing stadium and it is a shame that it is not featured in IPL with its own team. Also at the same time we need to get rid of this dirty image that has plagued the IPL so far. Get rid of this "glamour" image as well. Perhaps instead of uploading pictures of players in expensive outfits and high end places we can post pictures of them in normal clothing and putting in their shift to help people in need. I know that already somewhat happens but we need to see more of it. </div><div><br></div><div>Also more fan connection. I follow 4 IPL teams (Chennai Super Kings, Delhi Daredevils, Kolkata Knightriders, and Mumbai Indians) and I barely see any posts that encourage fan connection. Same from the IPL facebook. Most posts are just about the players and how great they are. You are not going to get a good image that way, no matter how popular the league is and people will continue to view the IPL as a cult instead of an actual sports league if that continues.</div>
Bollywood and cricket are two passions in this country. <br>Movie of Salman Khan will do business of 100 crore atleast. <br>Same way Cricket IPL despite all controversies will be super hit in India. No shortage of fans, sponsors. about their future, one day Desi owners will sell their stake to Arab or American businessman. <br> :P
The day an American buys an IPL team is the day that IPL team is relocated to the states in a start-up cricket league.
<br><br>Cricket won't get popular in America and American Football the same in India.<br>
<br><div><br></div><div>If its managed right then it can work in sparse places like Florida, Western New Jersey and all that but it would be like MLS. Back in 96, if you were a soccer fan then you were socially unacceptable. Same would be from cricket, they would need to hope for the same rise that MLS had which would be a lot more harder for them.</div><div><br></div><div>As for American football, I think it can work in India. The EFLI seem determined and they have already sold their first franchise (Hyderabad actually). If they can just hold off the fact that they are not making a profit and know they won't make one for a while then they can be successful.</div>

<br><br>Relocation is not necessary. So many foreigners own clubs in UK.<br>http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_English_football_club_owners#Premier_League<br><br>It is already happening in IPL like Rajasthan Royals. Lachlan Murdoch has a majority share in Rajasthan Royals while people just think that it is owned by Shilpa Shetty but in reality Shetty and her husband own just 11%. This Murdoch is same who owns Fox News and News Corporation and god knows what. I bet he has US passport.<br>

<br><br>Time difference is a problem otherwise they would have hosted IPL in USA. major audience is prime time evening India and for that purpose, they would have to host games at 4 AM in USA-not possible. But anyone remebers Sahara cup in Toronto between India and Pakistan in late 1990s. Crowd is not a problem in USA with Deccan Charges atleast will be assured full house in USA.<br>Imagine this thing in Dallas Cowboys Stadium.<br>
