Actually, Boca are looking for a premium for Calleri and Inter as a result are already thinking of backing out. He won't be cheap. Chelsea want to send him on loan straight away if they get him.
Is there a reported price out? Everyone will want a premium but I don't think the price will be that much to detract Chelsea, specially if they need it.
Price I don't know, but it will not be an issue for Chelsea but it will be an issue for Inter (who are running around aimlessly for players, and has been for few years now). It really depends on the player too I suppose; does he want to be punted out across Europe on loan or start playing regular football in Italy, but at this level, the club calls the shot.
The whole Mourinho thing and their struggles this season has sort of shocked them into life and they are actively getting involved in discussions to get players in January and the summer.
It was a strange move for Gignac but fair play to him going to play in a league that many Europeans would have avoided and doing well there. Mexico by the way has one of the most exciting youth teams, and I won't be surprised if a number of them makes their way into Europe over the next 5-7 years or so.
The days of Mexicans staying in Mexico only is slowly changing... lots of them are willing to make the move to Europe when the time is right. It will be amazing to see how they develop over time.
This is from the New York Red Bulls, Columbus Crew SC game last Sunday. I was at this game and what a game it fucking was. We needed to win 3-0 to go to the final of MLS or win 2-0 to get it to extra time. Columbus already had a 2-0 nothing lead from the first leg so any goal for them would mean New York would need four goals.
It was 0-0 till the 90th minute, Abang scored for the Red Bulls to make it 1-0 and then, due to the goal and subs, stoppage time was extended, and the Red Bulls almost scored the second, off Bradley Wright-Phillips, and off the post. I was on the other side of this and thought it went in, as did everyone with me. I was going fucking crazy but then I noticed it did not actually go in and all I could do was look at the black sky and cry... what a game. I even got rejected for a high five from Michael Parkhurst but did manage to high five Ethan Finlay.
