Irrespective whether its a hoax or not, This is a virus that is affecting all women sports in this country.

Oh how many talents we have missed because women dont compromise.
I always supported private international academies who can get sponsership for promising women rather than the failed SAI academies which have hardly yielded anything for women sports.

@DX That looks like a motive of promoting false stories. Close down SAI academies on false accusations and start private 1 day photo-op fake academies by businessman.

The Asian Games were hosted in 1998 and for the first time, women's football was a part of it. http://www.rsssf.com/tablesa/aswomgames98.html

However I can not find any match reports and squads from that tournament.

Okay, rationally speaking, what would IMG-Reliance get out this? This woman is not only attacking men but also the sport of football. This hurts IMG-Reliance if anything.

@ArsenalFan700 @debarghya89 ; She claims that she was playing in Asia Cup in 1998.

List of AFC Women's Asia Cup is there. There was none in 1998.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AFC_Women's_Asian_Cup

In India, in the era of  shouting TV channels, it has become very easy to propagate lies. People will just beliveve whatever lies are repeated in front of them.  TV channels were even covering Gary neville Delhi Airport hoax story.

What will IMG-R get out of this. Influence public perception? Close down all SAI academies unless one is by some private businessman.

Look at her twitter. Looks like self-promotion and marketing personality and the desire is to invited at semianrs, tv studios with feminist agenda.

    Another article by her

She had different name there-Babitha. There she claims she played for India team in Nepal and Bnagladesh. Where is captain and where is Asia Cup?

She is promoting her book "Game in Game".  She is also promoting a book written by her son who is 6 years old. The claim there is that world youngest author.

@munna219777 Not denying all that but some people do mix up the Asian Games and Asian Cup, specially for women. Just like they mixed up for the SAFF Women's Games and South Asian Games in around 2010.

This does look very suspicious though and while I do not doubt there is a real problem probably with women's football in India and harassment, I am concerned that there is nothing online about her career.

We need to get realistic: while there is no doubt that women are made to compromise at various stages of their career all over the world, it is also true that many women do concoct such lies for their personal reasons. One of the most famous cases in the US academia, the charge of sexual harassment that the writer Naomi Woolf had made against Professor Harold Bloom of Yale University,is a highlighter of the intricacies of such cases. The fact that she made the charge 18 years after the incident (she was an undergrad then and he a professor) added to the problem: even those who were sympathetic to Woolf said that if she had made the charges at that time, she would at least have gained more credibility, though justice might not have been meted to her even then. Even Woolf admitted this to be the case. Even in this case, without taking sides, one can say that if Sona Chaudhary had pressed the charges at that time instead of writing a tell-all account now, she at least would have gained more credibility.
