Watching this match I feel we are getting there to becoming a more technical, nuanced, passing side. We are still not utilising our amazing midfield to the full extent with Gurpreet and defenders hoofing the ball upfront. We should strive to play a more patient, short passing game and create chances. Performance wise I believe Akash Mishra and Suresh are the two players from this team who deserve to play in Europe. They are too good!
Why Europe? They should try for a better Asian league.. Suresh has been really good today. We need a better passer in the midfield like Apuia..Jeakson is too slow imo
If AFC adopts the same procedure as in 2019 (12 WC qualifier Third round teams in Pot 1 -2) to seed teams, we may still be in Pot 4. Kyrgyzstan is the team to beat, eventhough they lost so much points, they'll still end up above India. India may be the top ranked team in Pot 4.
If they do not consider WCQ performance, we may have a chance as Lebanon lost points this time. They are the team ahead of us. We may hit 100 when rankings are published in April. AFC draw date is May 11.
