This is a good news. Why should I-league clubs be bound to release players for IMG-League. They should be loaned out with appropriate amount of money changing hands.

But I want all good indian players in this ipfl alongside foreigners. In my opinion this ipfl may drastically improve the state of Indian football or at least the popularity of football in India. We must take this opportunity.  </font></div>

<br><div><br></div><div>Please mate tell me you are not brainwashed into the idea that this can work? </div><div><br></div><div>As many users have said previously on here, the infrastructure is not available, the support is not available, and the players are not available. Three major factors you need for an event like this... not there are all.</div><div><br></div><div>Where would a Mumbai side play? How many fans would a Pune side get? Would fans in Kolkata show up in the same numbers for an IMG franchise as they do for both East Bengal and Mohun Bagan? Would stars actually like playing with amateur Indian footballers for days upon days?</div><div><br></div><div>And no, the "mega-money" coming in from corporates won't help either. You can not just come into India and make some super league and expect it to be successful. These things take years and years to develop because there are costs outside the game which are just to expensive.</div><div><br></div><div>Just watch, this league, if it kicks-off, will only last 1-2 seasons. It won't help Indian football. And it could lead IMG and the AIFF into financial disaster.</div>

IMG are so annoying, look at the energy they are putting into creating a new league. But the last 2 years they have done little to nothing for the existing league.<div>I know its expensive for them to invest in the infrastructure, but why didn't they do something with the media side, add value to image of Indian football with there production team. I think they produce the premier league show, which is great value. If their aim was to promote football.</div>

Fully agree. This is why I'm angry with IMG. They are doing so much for the sh*t league,if they had done the same for I-league it whould have been a better product by now.

<font face="Arial, Verdana" size="2">I said it before and I will say it again, the best thing to do is work on organizing the current system and be patient. A new 12-team I-League with only the best sides in terms of quality and market place which is a separate entity from the AIFF (maybe 2-3 AIFF board members) and a proper state league system along with proper youth development should have been the plan from the beginning. </font><div><font face="Arial, Verdana" size="2"><br></font></div><div><font face="Arial, Verdana" size="2">Now we are over-expanding in the I-League where the only sources of revenue are the small ticket sales (if any) and the small cash received from small sponsorship deals and we still have messed up state leagues and youth development systems. Hell, there are only really 3 actual full-time state leagues running in India (Mizoram, Goa, and Kolkata) and we are now being overly reliant on the AIFF-FIFA Academies which will somehow magically create 30 "world-class" players. All at the same time the AIFF is struggling to even fund these Academies and yet they still have a huge expenses list with a bunch of tournaments which we just don't have the money for.</font></div><div><font face="Arial, Verdana" size="2"><br></font></div><div><font face="Arial, Verdana" size="2">But it is okay, because the IMG-League will magically fix that.</font></div>

We should wait and see what I-league clubs do with this league.

I agree to some extent that IMG IPFL may be not be able to provide us new Indian Football Talents. I am very glad that AIFF now established several academies for this purpose which I am sure will help us in he long run. Recently I heard IMG wants to invest more money in this academies and help establishing more academies. This is a great news. I also appreciate and respect point of views of all IFN members, regardless of they want this IMG IPFL to fail or succeed. But in my opinion this IPFL can attract more people to football in India and this will help us in the long run. This league may fail, I know. But I want AIFF to take this chance. Lets see what happens. Anyway Indian football is going no where in the recent future. So, My support is definitely with youth development in India but also with IPFL.

<br><br>Attract to what football ?? Explain that. You mean that people who would watch IPL Football will also watch I-League ? Or will they all become Indian NT fans ??<br><br>Also if your stating any of the above,I want to know will any fans be even interested this shit league ? IPL Cric has Sachin and Dhoni,HIL has Jamie Dwyer,Moritz but unfortunately Messi,Ronlado will not be in IPL Football instead they'll be at Barcelona and Real that is what these European mad football fans will continue to watch not unfit Bhutia or 50 year old Jay Jay Okocha.<br>

Football should be played the way it is meant to be,we should develop the I-League maybe it is a slow process but we should stick to it.Just like the Economy in which we are expected to make huge strides in coming years with lot of collective effort.<br><br>But unfortunately we are making it worse by creating this shit tamasha league which is going to waste huge amounts of money which could have been used for a better purpose.<br>
