I won't really call them experts on Indian football, all they do is copy paste news from AIFF site...and giving names like "Bhangra Boys"
Disagree. That's not all they do. They have contacts in the footer circles and they (Arunava at least) often post comments/articles based on conversations with players/coaches/administrators.
Also, "Bhangra Boys" may have been partially propagated by Arunava but he did not start that nickname. That nickname came from a game in England between Jamaica and India at the beginning of this century. The Jamaican team had been called the Reggae Boys so the organizers used Bhangra Boys on the game poster, which stuck. Thankfully, we seem to be rid of it now. Ash, how long do we wait before we take it off the Wikipedia page? That's what people refer to when they write about Indian football. If India beat either Qatar or UAE to get to the next round of the Olympic or WC qualifiers I can bet you that there will be a bunch of journalists who will look at the Wiki entry for their articles. Can we get 'Bhangra Boys' off that page before then?

Mariano Barreto is enjoying what is essentially an "unexpected holiday" in Goa. The globe-trotting coach is currently incharge of Bahrain Premier League champions Al Ahli
worked at several clubs in Portugal and abroad including Sporting Clube de Portugal - where he worked with the likes of Jose Mourinho, Bobby Robson and Luis Figo - FC Alverca, Bayer Leverkusen and FC Lokomotiv Moscow and can pick and choose his clubs.
the vacancy at the Indian national team remains of particular interest. "India provides for an interesting challenge. If the AIFF feels I can be of help, I would be more than willing," said Barreto.
"There is no magic formula for Indian football. Don't tell me about the size and physique of footballers, because I believe its not a deterrent when some of the world's most gifted players are neither tall nor well-built. India needs to have a strong base," said Barreto.
"We have received more than 50 applications for the National coach job," AIFF general secretary Kushal Das told TOI on Thursday.
"We are not in any hurry to select the coach. From among several applications, there will be a shortlist which will be presented before the technical committee," explained Das.

Hope they chose the best available for the job I trust AIFF for this matter
