I mean, we should want to know if a criminal also owns one of our teams in the I-League, right? If they are the same people then what he did was just horrible
I saw those articles a month back. There's no harm in knowing his background. But Didnt post them here as i had no knowledge about the follow up to those cases and as such, i guess i was not in a position to discuss about those here. There's no problem in knowing the past. But i guess if we dont know more than those articles say, i hope the discussions don't branch out to speculation.
I just want to know if they are the same person. I mean if what is on the club website is true then while this guy was getting arrested for all these crimes he was also playing football for the India youth teams, representing Chandigarh in the Santosh Trophy, founded both Minerva football academy and cricket academy, and became CEO of the Minerva Academy.
@debarghya89 and @ArsenalFan700... I have spoken to a number of people linked to Punjab football and they told me he is the same person. He also roams with two bodyguards with machine guns is what they have told me. Last season he sat on the bench as team manager and the bodyguards used to escort him right to the bench and then leave. Also after the match they would get on the pitch and escort him out. When they went on the ground however the bodyguards did not carry guns.
But it is his past life and maybe he has turned a new leaf so I give him the benefit of doubt and hopefully he learnt from his mistakes and does something for Indian football. It is better atleast to have a guy who has learnt from his mistakes than having the three stooges Praful, Kushal and Sunando who haven't learnt and do not want to learn from their mistakes and are earning fat salaries (except Praful) at the cost of football.
@goalkeepar... I don't care even if I am shot dead. Indian football needs a martyr and a major clean-up.

I don't think they are the same people
It's best not to drag this issue here

I mean, how can man do both? How do none of the articles mention him as a footballer when he was at the time?
