I-League Match Officials Workshop concludes in Bhubaneswar
The two-day I-League Match Officials Workshop concluded in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, on Saturday, October 5, 2024.
The workshop, aimed at providing essential training and updates to match officials, ensuring they are well-prepared for the upcoming season, was attended by 19 referees, 21 assistant referees, 14 referee assessors, Referee Directing Staff, and an AIFF Referees’ Committee observer.
The workshop dealt with various topics, including match officiating guidelines for the upcoming season, participant behaviour expectations, fouls and conduct, and fitness and performance tests.
Marcus Mergulhao had tweeted that I-League would be delayed by a week, it would definitely not be starting on October 19 as previously decided.
Shameful by AIFF (stooges of FSDL)...they declare a tentative date at the beginning of the season, and then at the eleventh hour they wake up from their slumber and decide on the venues, call tenders for broadcasting et al. Naturally, things get delayed.

This charade goes on year after year!
Just blaming Aiff isn't good enough. I read quite a few ileague clubs haven't yet provided proper home stadiums which meet criteria.
Rajasthan United brand new home ground in Jaipur has burned downed in a massive fire yesterday, the new artificial pitch has been completely destroyed, Rajasthan United likely to shift to Kolkata for this season.
