I sincerely hope I-League is not killed by AIFF. Since the status of the National Team is close to the bottom even in Asia.. thanks to AIFF, we can only look to the I-League to sustain interest. How ISL with 4/5 Indian players and 5/6 old (nearing retirement) imports will improve Indian Football is known to the AIFF idiots only.

In the name of professionalism they are determined to kill Club Football in India. Ironically  the totally unprofessional Parent body is preaching professionalism just to reduce the number of Clubs in I-League and accommodate a slot for ISL. These AIFF idiots want us to believe that during Sep-Oct-Nov when the League in Europe will be in full swing.. we will see some good players in ISL!! Yes.. we will definitely see some "EDP" (Expiry Date Passed) icons in action.

Bottom line ? I-League will suffer (though I would love to be proved wrong). But for the sake of Indian Football ..... please AIFF... please..... do not KILL Club Football in India.

Latest reports are that I-League will have to increase from 10 to 12 teams, as AFC don't recognise AFC Cup entry unless the league has minimum number of matches per year

I think we will be back at 14 next year 2 clubs will enter from 2nd division and 2 as direct entry.

There is so much uncertainity in I-League. Only one thing is certain in I-League. Cooperage Stadium will not be ready next year also and Mumbai FC will continue to play at Pune Balewadi Stadium next year.

I gave my theory on that already. Essel Group has control of TEN Action through Zee. Force Mumbai FC out then we would probably lose TEN Action which would not look good for the I-League as we would not have a broadcaster.
