Mohun Bagan back to their usual behaviour....

Whilst Balwant was suspended for 2 games...they had also failed to pay his salary...they only deposited 2 Laks into his account a day before the Bharat FC game !

If they keep this behaviour up...they will blow their chances well before the last game

It should not be hard to create a state league. State leagues should be semi-pro... meaning that the players have second jobs for the most part, coaches are part-time, youth teams go down to maybe the U18s and perhaps U16s, fields are majority neutral venues, as well as training pitches, and the only real thing that is payed for is the balls and kits.

For gods sake, look at Mizoram. Even Sikkim has a first division, second division, and then district leagues!

@ArsenalFan700 IFA started state league back in 2003. But they started is as district league, like Howrah vs Maldah or Birbhoom vs Bardwan. And suddenly it stopped. It had created some buzz and local bengali channel used to telecast highlights of it. The right approach should not be district vs district. It should be clubs vs clubs, like Maldah Unidted vs Durgapur Football clubs and home and away is must. But these would never happen in Bengal as IFA acts like Calcutta football Association not like Bengal Football Association.

@ Ashlesh. There is no point in this "good foreigner, bad foreigner" rhetoric. Its always relative. The quality foreigners brought here playing in not so quality conditions only do more harm than good for clubs. Higher wages, higher expectations, ego, injuries etc. And all towards what end? There are no takers for domestic football. These monies are better off utilised towards coaches, exposure tours, training infrastructure or just the domestic players themselves. Its no longer the case for domestic leagues that more people attend (and PAY) due to the presence of foreigners.
Much rather that I-League and other leagues have no foreigners absolutely. The foreigners have the ISL platform in numbers and the "quality" aspect can be debated across 5 stars and chai stalls alike.
Its high time the rest of the Leagues take the sport back to where it originally began - the streets, the people, the community. Fully agree with what Mr. Arsenal Fan has mentioned.
Ideally, only the serious candidates should move into football - not every Tom, Dick, Harry and their families.

I disagree we need Quality foreigners to improve our standard and quality foreigners are key to success in Asia. just put 4 quality foreigners in BFC and I believe they can Win the AFC Cup.
